Through funding from the Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program of the National Institute for Food and Agriculture, NOFA-NY is pleased to be able to offer scholarships to aspiring and new farmers (any farmer with 10 or fewer years experience as an owner or stakeholder in farm management decisions).  These scholarships will pay for up to one full conference registration per applicant, which includes breakfast and lunch each day.  Lodging, travel and dinner are not covered by these scholarships.  Each scholarship recipient will be assigned a volunteer job to be completed leading up to or during their time at the Winter Conference.

The online scholarship application form will open October 17th. Your completed form must be submitted by noon on Monday, December 3rd, 2012.  Decisions will be announced on December 17th with all winners receiving their conference volunteer shift assignment at the same time. A certain number of wait list candidates will be maintained until January 4th.
