Food Almanac Background:

Since 1818, farmers and other individuals have relied on the Almanac’s witty and often accurate weather predictions and astronomical data to inform how they harvest, garden, cook and fish.  Because FSNYC wants to ensure that our members and friends are properly informed of all things food and farm related in the New Year, we host this great annual event! We should also mention that FSNYC espouses the core values of the publication –sustainable living, simplicity and conservation—in the work that we do.
