iEat Green Shares Interview with Carrie Weiss
My guest this week was Carrie Weiss, chef, consultant, and “Food as Medicine” specialist. Carrie got her appreciation and love for cooking from her family, and it was honed in when they all lived in France for 4 years while she was a teenager.
Eight years ago, due to personal medical issues, Carrie’s food focus switched from gourmet cuisine to Food as Medicine. Over the years, after cooking privately for many people with health issues, she realized that there was not one diet that worked for everyone. In fact, the healthy diet that she had been on had stopped working for her, and she was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. In search of a way to cure herself of this diagnosis, she found a different protocol that completely reversed her Type II Diabetes that she is very excited about, and wants to share with anyone else suffering from life-threatening metabolic issues.
This new protocol combines Intermittent Fasting with a low carb, high fat, high protein, lots of vegetables, and NO SUGAR at all diet. It’s been working for her and she has completely healed herself of her Type II Diabetes. She is very open to helping others suffering from the same diagnosis, and truly believes in the power of food!
