Hi All,
I just finished my interview with Steven McFadden, where we talked about his book and the meaning of Deep Agroecology. Deep Agroecology is an umbrella term for everything good that can be connected to our food; organic, biodynamic, sustainable, regenerative, permaculture, social justice, health, land access, farm support, animal welfare and so on. Steven is an independent journalist and has been writing about food and farms for years. He has tapped into the wisdom of Native American elders, and shares many of their stories from his spiritual journey across America, called Odyssey of the 8th Fire.
The book weaves together the philosophy that everything has a right to exist, that appreciation must be given to that which has given up its life to sustain you, that all things are related, that ones individual actions need to model good behavior, and that all decisions should be decided with the forethought of seven generations out. The book is a global vision to build the type of food system we all need!
