The Women’s March is this Saturday, October 17th!
I was planning on going to Washington DC, but due to the pandemic and concerns about travel, I decided to stay local and join my daughter, sister, and friends in Brooklyn. I’ll be wearing my Handmaids Costume, as a statement on the direction this country is headed under the current administration.
The Women’s March is telling the stories of women on the front lines, setting the women’s agenda and building the feminist future we want. We’re holding socially distant actions across the country to send an unmistakable message about the fierce opposition to Trump and his agenda, including his attempt to fill Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat.
Please join a March near you, and feel the power of coming together with like minded people who care about this country and our collective future.
Tell Congress to Insist that the EPA Thoroughly Tests all Pesticides for Health Hazards.
The Trump administration continues to undermine scientific integrity by suppressing or distorting evidence that supports their political agenda. This time, they are proposing that the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) discontinues testing for lethal levels of pesticide toxicity through the skin.
We all know that the skin is the largest organ in the body, and it absorbs substances like a sponge. That is why I always tell parents to think about the products they are putting on their children, like suntan lotion and moisturizers, and make sure they are free of chemicals.
Hopefully, we will have a new administration soon, but until we do, we must speak up and let our voices be heard!
