Growing Food and the Power of Community featuring Raqueeb Bey, urban agriculturalist, community activist, and Founder/Executive Director of the Black Urban Gardeners and Farmers of Pittsburgh Co-Op (BUGS FPC), and Gwen Garcelon, professional organizer, author, and Founder/Director of the Roaring Fork Food Policy Council.
This panel will discuss the important role of community, gardeners, and farmers in ensuring food system resilience in their work while providing insights into the logistics and “how-to” of community organizing for food systems.
