Hi Everyone,

I just finished my interview with Erica Goodman, the New York Regional Director at American Farmland Trust. It is nice to know that we have such dedicated workers behind the Farm to School and Farm to Institution programs in New York State. The American Farmland Trust works directly with schools and other institutions to help train staff in ways to process produce, to purchase locally, and to track purchases so that they can qualify for the NYS 30% Incentive Program.

Their Farmland for a New Generation New York helps farmers seeking land, and as well as landowners who want to keep their land in farming, connect with each other. It’s a great resource for building community and working together.
