Hi Everyone,
I had a great interview on Thursday with Andrianna Natsoulas, the Campaign Director for the non-profit organization, Don’t Cage Our Oceans. As many of you know, our oceans are already in trouble, between over-fishing and years of plastic waste and garbage being dumped, but now we also have the threat of agri-business proliferating our oceans. Don’t Cage Our Oceans is committed to protecting the oceans from factory farms, and preventing the government from selling permits to private companies in federal water, to build massive fish pens to raise factory fish. Countries like Denmark and Canada, that have allowed ocean factory farms to be built, have seen the negative impacts that they have on public health, the environment, marine life, and the local economy, and have pulled back from the practice. We have the opportunity to let our government know that we do not want these factory farms in our oceans by stopping the “The Aquaa Act” in its tracks. Please sign the petition, and check out the work of Don’t Cage Our Oceans.
If you missed my interview with Andrianna, you can listen to it here;
With Love and Gratitude,
Bhavani
