Hi Everyone,
Today I had the pleasure of interviewing Anna Hammond and Julie Cerny from The Sylvia Center. The Sylvia Center is an awesome non-profit that is dedicated to teaching inner city kids where their food comes from and how to prepare it. Most of their programs take place in and around the city in community centers and after-school programs. They also work in collaboration with Katchkie Farm in Kinderhook, NY, and bring 800 kids to the farm over the summer. When the kids get to spend a day at the farm, they not only prepare a delicious vegetarian meal in their open air kitchen, but they also get to spend half of the day working in the garden, planting and harvesting the food for their meal. To learn more about The Sylvia Center listen to our interview below and check out the website by clicking here.
