An Interview with Joe Mollura of Brooklyn Brewery

Hi Everyone,

Well, the holiday season is in full swing, and it looks as though we actually might have a white Christmas. This Saturday is the winter solstice, which marks the shortest day and the longest night of the year. That means, starting on Sunday, the days are getting longer and we are on our way to Spring!

I am gearing up for feeding the homeless with the River Fund Food Pantry? as I have done for the past 19 years (I thought it was 20, but I was corrected!). This year, the Tuesday before Christmas falls on Christmas Eve Day, so we expect lots of children, as well as parents for our Holiday Feast! My husband dresses up as Santa, and we collect toys and gifts to give out, as well as coats and blankets from our Winter Coat Drive. For those of you interested in helping, please sign up on the doodle document here!? We also like to serenade the guests with Christmas Carols, so if you have a good voice, we need you!? If you have winter clothing items or blankets to donate, they can be dropped off at the iEat green homestead. For directions, please email me!

My guest this week on the Progressive Radio Network is Joe Mollura, from the Brooklyn Brewery. Joe has been working with the company since 1997, and is in charge of spreading their delicious beer in our area. Please join me as we discuss the history of the Brooklyn Brewery and the rise of craft beers nationwide. Find out what the difference is between a craft beer or a commercial beer, and whether or not your craft beer is really owned by Anheuser Busch, or one of the other big conglomerates!
