Today I had the pleasure of interviewing Joe Mollura from the Brooklyn Brewery. I found it fascinating to learn how the craft beer movement has exploded, and to learn about Brooklyn Brewery’s hand in that explosion! At the turn of the century, there were over 45 breweries in Brooklyn, and by 1976, the last one had closed their door. In 1986, the Brooklyn Brewery was born, but they didn’t actually start brewing their beer in Brooklyn until 1996. They were the first craft beer company in Brooklyn, and now there are over 14 on Long Island and over 2500 craft beer companies in the U.S.
To learn more about the craft beer movement, and Brooklyn Breweries seasonal beers, please listen to the full interview here!
