Hi Everyone,
I am so disappointed that the GMO labeling bill did not pass in the NYS Assembly! Yesterday morning it looked very hopeful, but by the afternoon, some of our supporters abandoned ship. I guess they were bought out by the likes of Monsanto! It baffles me, that our elected officials refuse to do what 90% of Americans want. We must hold these members accountable for voting against a measure that so many of us care about. We have the right to know what we are putting into our bodies, and our elected officials should be supporting any efforts to make this information public. Please visit GMO Free NY’s Facebook page for a complete list of committee members who failed to do what is best for their constituents, and instead, did what was best for the bio-tech companies. If we all tweet, call, or email them and let them know that this will not soon be forgotten, they will have no choice but to vote differently the next time around.
