Nov. 19th- 22nd; A Thanksgiving Feast for the Homeless, with Traditional Homemade Food and Winter Clothing Drive
November 19, 2016 @ 9:00 am - November 22, 2016 @ 7:00 pm
$25.00Every year, iEat Green partners with the River Fund-NY, to create a Thanksgiving Feast for the hungry people living in and around Rufus King Park in Jamaica, Queens. It is a
huge event, with people gathering at the iEat Green Homestead, beginning on Saturday, Nov. 19th, through Tuesday, November 22nd, to wash, chop, cook and prepare all of the food to feed close to 1000 people. We welcome people of all ages, and encourage parents to model “giving back to the community” with their children. If you are interested in getting involved, you can sign up for shifts here! We ask everyone who can afford it, to please donate $25.00 towards the event.
Other ways to get involved include donations of food, clothing, and/or financial support. If you would like to donate food or clothing, please email Bhavani to coordinate a drop off time, at Bhavani@iEatGreen.com. We need help in collecting coats, blankets, and other winter clothing items, such as gloves, hats, scarfs and boots. If you would like to make a tax free donation to the River Fund-NY, to help finance the event, checks can be sent to;
The River Fund-NY, 89-11 Lefferts Blvd, Richmond Hill NY 11418
I thank you all in advance for your help!
