April 23: Albany Rally- Cuomo: Walk the Talk on Climate

April 23, 2018

On April 23, New Yorkers will march on the State Capitol to tell Governor Cuomo to walk the talk on tackling climate change.

“Governor Cuomo talks a good game about climate change, but his actions don’t match his rhetoric. New York lags in shifting to 100% renewable energy, while the Cuomo administration approves fracked gas power plants and pipelines that maintain our reliance on fossil fuels.” – Food and Water Watch

What: Cuomo: Walk the Talk on Climate
When: Monday, April 23, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Where: State Capitol, Albany
How: Free buses from across the state

The time for half-measures from Cuomo is over; to be a true climate leader, he must commit to moving New York off fossil fuels. In the past year, we’ve held scores of rallies, generated thousands of phone calls, and picketed at Cuomo’s public appearances, calling on him to take the bold actions necessary to prevent climate catastrophe.

On April 23, we’ll ramp up the pressure by marching with dozens of allied organizations from across the state, from the Long Island Progressive Coalition to New York Communities for Change to PUSH Buffalo. Don’t miss the biggest environmental rally in Albany since we banned fracking!
