Naomi Starkman: Founder and Editor in Chief of Civil Eats, a publication for daily news and commentary about American Food System, and 2016 John S. Knight Foundation Journalism Fellow at Stanford, in conversation with Charles Platkin, PhD, JD, MPH, the executive director of the NYC Food Policy Center at Hunter College. The two will discuss the founding of Civil Eats, and the rising interest in and the importance of covering food policy, and why food is indeed political.
