November 1st- Fundraiser for The Sylvia Center

I am reaching out to share a cause that is very close to my heart – The Sylvia Center. This organization connects high-risk, high potential city kids, to the life-changing benefits that result from learning cooking skills and eating well. 

Sylvia Center chef instructors teach young and teenage students (primarily in Public Housing Community Centers) about fresh, nutritious food, and how to prepare healthy meals for themselves and their families. The older youth, in turn, share their knowledge and skills within their communities, which opens the doors of countless new possibilities in their own lives.

This fundraiser is honoring the founding board members. The Art of Cooking benefit is on November 1st. It will be delicious while raising vital funds for The Sylvia Center’s programs.

Chef Anita Lo is curating a remarkable dinner! The Center’s students have been collaborating with Chef Sohui Kim (Insa, The Good Fork), Chef Patti Jackson (Delaware and Hudson), and Chef Antonio Mora (Quality Meats) to create creative appetizers. Nick Morgenstern, the premier Ice Cream maker of NYC, will provide after dinner treats.

Please join this event and invite everyone to support the evening by purchasing a ticketmaking a donation, bidding at the auction or taking an ad in their event program.
