September 26th: Financing the Future: A Climate Week Symposium
September 26, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm
An international consortium of NGOs presents an evening program focused on the Paris Agreement’s goal of making finance flows consistent with a pathway toward low emissions and climate-resilient development. Finance, specifically the policies and investment decisions of large institutional investors such as pension funds, banks, and insurance companies, underlies every decision to expand—or reduce—fossil fuel extraction and use, and the viability of sustainable alternatives.
Doors open at 6 pm (drinks and appetizers served); program at 7 pm.
