In the spirit of Thanksgiving, let’s come together as a community to create a feast for the less fortunate.

Along with your help, iEat Green and The River Fund New York will be preparing and serving a delicious Thanksgiving meal to those in need. This year, we will be serving families in areas of the city most devastated by Hurricane Sandy.

If you’ve never participated with iEat Green before, there are many ways you can get involved. We are looking for donations of defrosted or fresh turkeys, which we will cook, or you can drop-off an already cooked turkey at the iEat Green Homestead, which we will carve. We are also accepting monetary donations, to help off-set the cost of all the groceries. As part of this event, we will also be holding our annual coat drive, so we welcome all cold weather clothing donations!

If you would like to volunteer your time, please please email Bhavani with your availability. We will start preparations on Saturday, November 17th and will be working straight through, until Tuesday, November 20th.
