Akbar Rogers of Freeport was brutalized by police on December 3, 2019. Akbar, just like George Floyd and Eric Garner, was ignored when he screamed “I can’t breathe” as police officers held him down, punched, kicked and tased him.

 

The only reason you may not remember Akbar’s name is because he wasn’t murdered that day. But Akbar is now fighting bogus charges while the officers who brutalized him are still patrolling the streets and have faced zero consequences.
