iEat Green: An Interview with Eleanor Sterling

Hi Everybody,

Yesterday I had the opportunity to have Eleanor Sterling, the Director for the Center of Biodiversity and Conservation from the Museum of Natural History on my show. Eleanor is responsible for the wonderful exhibit currently showing at the AMNH called, Our Global Kitchen: Food, Nature, Culture, ?I was thrilled to learn of the museum’s commitment to teaching about sustainability, and finding out that this exhibit is one in a series, dealing with the issues of sustainability and conservation. The other exhibits were on issues around Water, Soil and Climate Change. The more people we get talking about food, and our food system, and the connection that food has on everything, the quicker we can hope to see changes in our diets and in the varieties of the foods we eat. One of the highlights of this exhibit, is the taste kitchen! Everyday, there is a different food being explored and shared with the visitors. If you haven’t seen the exhibit yet, I suggest you do. it will be closing in August. For more information on the show and tickets, go to the museums website at?www.AMNH.org
