Today I had a wonderful interview with John Halsey, the Founder and President of the Peconic Land Trust. He shared with us the work the Peconic Land Trust does in preserving farm land and creating alternatives for landowners, and opportunities for young farmers. It is an organization that has had to think outside of the box, and then work with those stuck in the box, to make change happen! Not an easy task, but one that has been so successful, that they have saved over 10,000 acres of land from being developed!
