Yesterday, I interviewed KK Haspel, the owner and bio-dynamic farmer from The Farm in Southold. Just from talking with KK, I could feel her connection and understanding of the intricate symbiotic relationships between the planetary forces, the plants, the microbes, the insects, and the soil. Bio-dynamics is like homeopathy for the earth. I find it so fascinating, and at the same time a little intimidating, because there is so much to it, but like with anything, practice, dedication and patience will pay off! Also, KK gives free hands-on workshops to help anyone who wants to learn about bio-dynamics and how to use the bio-dynamic preparations to transform their land to become healthy and strong.
