Hi Everyone,
It never ceases to amaze me the life lessons that are available to each of us on a daily basis. One’s life can be turned upside down in just a matter of minutes, and as we try to float back up to the surface, we can choose to focus on the beautiful, glistening light that sparkles in the water, or allow ourselves to be tumbled in the waves. I am blessed to be able to find the sparkles, and allow the light to guide me.
This week on the Progressive Radio Network, I am thrilled to be inviting Elizabeth Henderson to join me as my guest. Elizabeth has been a leader in the organic farming movement in New York for over 30 years, and has been on the Board of NOFA-NY since the early 70’s. In 2009, NOFA-NY honored Elizabeth with the Lifetime Achievement Award and in 2013, the Golden Carrot Award. She has been farming at Peacework Farm in Wayne County, and was responsible for co-founding the Agricultural Justice Project. Her writings on organic agriculture appear in The Natural Farmer and other publications, and she is the lead author of Sharing the Harvest: A Citizen’s Guide to Community Supported Agriculture (Chelsea Green, 2007). She also wrote A Food Book for a Sustainable Harvest for the members of Peacework Organic Community Supported Agriculture (aka GVOCSA) in its twenty seventh year in 2015. Please join me on Thursday at 10 am, to find out what Elizabeth Henderson is up to now!
