Hi All,
At this point in time, most people are familiar with the variety of different diets out there. There is the basic vegetarian diet, then there is the vegan diet, the macrobiotic diet or the pescatarian diet, the gluten free diet, the low carb diet, the Paleo diet, the blended drink diet, and even the Blue Zone diet. Now there is a new one you might not heard of. It’s called the Low-Fodmap diet, and it is specially designed for people with a sensitive digestive system and irritable bowel syndrome. I have heard it works wonders if you are struggling with digestive issues, but it is particularly challenging for vegans, since so many of the foods they depend on are foods that need to be avoided. Jo Stepaniak is an expert when it comes to guiding people, especially vegans, on eating a Low FODMAP diet. Her new book, Low-FODMAP and Vegan: What to Eat When You Can’t Eat Anything Paperback, is a wonderful resource and cookbook, designed for helping vegans navigate foods that will be nutritious, delicious and gentle on their digestive systems. If you or someone you know struggles with digestive issues or IBS, this is an interview you won’t want to miss!
