iEat Green Invites you All to Join Me in the Kitchen with My New Zoom Classes! Bhavani Welcomes Patty Gentry, Chef, Farmer and Founder of Early Girl Farm to the Progressive Radio Network!

Hi Everyone,

As we all continue to practice social distancing and quarantining, it is a great time to get in the kitchen and expand our palates!

I’ve been a vegetarian/pescatarian for over 40 years, but since the New Year, I have been fully plant based, and have enjoyed knowing that my food choices are in alignment with my belief system. That being said, I realized that this is a great time to share my passion for healthy cooking with my community through Zoom Classes! Starting next Thursday evening, April 9th Updated – Starting Wednesday, April 15th, at 5pm EST, I invite you to join me in a free weekly cooking class to make dinner. If you want to get the recipe ahead of time, so you can cook with me, please sign up and I will email you the recipe.

Register in advance for this meeting:

Because I want these classes to be accessible to all, I am offering them free of charge. However, if you would like to contribute to offset my expenses, it would be much appreciated. You can make a contribution on this link.

It is my great pleasure to introduce you all to Patty Gentry, who was a former professional chef and has since traded in her chef apron to become a farmer!  I met Patty last year at The Food Lab Conference where they screened a documentary film called, The Soul of A Farmer, which was about her and her farm! As a cook, Patty had a rich and rewarding experience working under the tutelage of Anne Rosenzweig of Acadia and The Lobster Club in NYC, and Lidia Shire of Biba in Boston. She partnered with Gary and Isabel MacGurn to open The Hampton Chutney Company in Soho, NY and has had the good fortune to work with Ben Schneider and Sohui Kim at the Good Fork in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Before trading in her apron for a hoe six years ago, she was lucky enough to spend four years in the kitchen at the Ross School in East Hampton.

Patty started Early Girl Farm to bring highly diversified, lovingly raised produce, to hard working chefs, and now has expanded to offer a CSA program! I hope you can join us on Thursday for a great conversation!
