iEat Green Invites you to Zoom “Let’s Cook Dinner Together” TONIGHT at 6pm! iEat Green is Deeply Moved by the Uprising Taking Place! Alex Gerofsky, Founding Member of The World U.P. Foundation, Joins Bhavani on PRN!

Come explore the world of vegan cooking with iEat Green’s Zoom Cooking Classes! Join Bhavani, and “Let’s Cook Dinner Together!”  Please join us TONIGHT from 6-7pm!

Tonight we will be making BBQ Tempeh with Crispy Sweet Potato Fries and Roasted Brussel Sprouts. This is another great recipe for outdoor dining, which is the only dining I am doing while practicing social distancing!

Beginning at 6pm, EST, we will chop, cook, drink, and have fun, while getting dinner on the table! Please sign up, so I can send you the recipe ahead of time, and you can have most of the ingredients on hand. The recipes are flexible, so if you don’t have all of the ingredients, you can substitute something else or leave it out.

Please register in advance here for this Zoom Cooking Class!

Because I want these classes to be accessible to everyone, there is no charge. However, if you would like to contribute to offset my expenses, it would be much appreciated. You can make a contribution here.

We are living in Challenging Times! Back in February, when the 25 year old jogger, Ahmaud Arbery, was shot by a white father and son, I was horrified by the story, and angry that they were not arrested immediately. Since then, there have been numerous killings of black men and women at the hands of police, and this past weeks killing of George Floyd, has just put everyone over the edge. And all of this is going on while we are going through a pandemic, people dying, people sick, 40,000,000 people without work, not enough food, people hungry, and businesses closing with little hope of ever re-opening. Staying at home and maintaining social distancing is the new norm, and yet, when it comes to witnessing another brutal killing of a black man at the hands of a police officer, we need to all take to the streets!!

I hope everyone gets involved in helping to change the system. We need to dismantle racism at every level, because as we know, everything is connected.

My Guest This Week on the Progressive Radio Network is Alexander Gerofsky, a Founding Member of The World U.P. Foundation.

The World U.P. Foundation is a collective of innovative and passionate people who dream of an Understanding and Peaceful global community, where everyone belongs, is celebrated, and is appreciated for their differences. They are building The World U.P. Foundation by improving access to resources that allow humans to connect, learn, and empower each other through kindness and love.

Alexander has been involved with the organization since its inception in 2016. His passion for providing learning opportunities to those who do not readily have access to them brought him to World U.P. Originally from Long Island, NY, Alexander attended The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in Manhattan, NY. Peter Cooper, the founder of the school, was born into a working class family and was unable to afford the cost of higher education. It was his belief that “education should be as free as air and water”; that it be accessible to all who wanted to learn. Therefore, an education at Cooper Union is free! It was during Alexander’s time at this school where he embraced these values by meeting many talented and diverse first-generation college graduates with a love for learning. After college, Alexander took a job with AdvanSix, Inc., as a Chemical Process Engineer and moved to Chesterfield, VA., where he met the other founding members of The World U.P. Foundation.

I hope you can join us on Thursday to learn more about what The World U.P. Foundation does.
