iEat Green is Looking for Interns for the Spring/Summer/Fall Season!; The Long Island Farm Bureau’s, Rob Carpenter, Joins Bhavani on the Progressive Radio Network.

Hi Everyone,

I know I keep talking about Spring being around the corner, but all this snow is making it hard to believe. I’m anxious to get my hands in the dirt, and start working the soil. iEat Green is looking for a few interns for the coming season. If you have interest in learning about organic gardening, homesteading, beekeeping, and healthy cooking, then consider spending a few days per week on the homestead! Send me your resume at Bhavani@iEatGreen.com

My guest this week on the Progressive Radio Network is Rob Carpenter, the Administrative Director for the Long Island Farm Bureau. The Long Island Farm Bureau is a non-governmental, volunteer organization financed and controlled by members for the purpose of solving economic and public policy issues challenging the agricultural industry. The mission is to “Serve and Strengthen” agriculture on Long Island. Long Island Farm Bureau‘s “grassroots” policy development process ensures that the organization represents the majority position of its membership. The success in implementing policies depends upon their active, well-informed membership guided by the efforts of many dedicated volunteer leaders. With a membership of over 3000 member families, the Long Island Farm Bureau is the voice of Long Island agriculture.

Rob will be a presenter at the upcoming Long Island Food Coalition Conference, The State of Long Island Local Suburban Agriculture; Where Do We Grow From Here? at Hofstra University on April 19th!  I hope you can join us!
