iEat Green Participates in Fundraiser for Jumaane Williams, Running for Lt. Gov. of New York; Michael Schoudel, Chef and Owner of Conscious Kitchen, Joins Bhavani on PRN

Hi Everyone,

If there is a silver lining to the current administration, it is the fact that more and more people are waking up to the fact that if they want to make change, they need to get involved in politics, and support candidates with progressive ideas. That is why I am supporting Jumaane Williams, a candidate for Lieutenant Governor of New York State.  He is running in the Democratic Party Primary and is vowing to be a public advocate, and a role model for progressive change.  This is the first of many fundraisers I hope to support, in the way I know best to do, with food! To find out more about Jumaane Williams, and to make a contribution to his campaign, check out his website!

All of us bring different talents to the table, and deciding where you want to put your energy is the first step. There are so many issues and causes that need our help, and if everyone would choose a least one issue that they are passionate about, and get involved, we could sequester “People Power” and make some headway!!

I’m very excited to introduce this weeks guest to all of you! Michael Schoudel is the Executive Chef and Owner of Conscious Kitchen, a healthy meal delivery service, on Long Island, NY. Conscious Kitchen delivers healthy meals, made with locally-sourced and organic ingredients, directly to their neighbors, all with an emphasis on environmental sustainability. Michael is a  lifelong resident of Sea Cliff, NY, and has worked as a local Chef for over 15 years, forming close relationships to the customers in his community, and getting to know their dietary needs. Conscious Kitchen was launched in early 2017 to meet what Michael saw as the growing demand for healthy delivered foods, especially plant-based options, while also combating the excessive waste and poor environmental practices he encountered in the food industry. Michael posses a BA in Music Composition from Binghamton University, and is currently finishing a second BS in Mathematics at Queens College. Please join me on Thursday for what promises to be a great conversation.
