Today, I interviewed Leah Retherford, the farm manager of the Queens County Farm Museum. I was amazed to find out that the land has been farmed since the 1600’s and is the largest urban farm in New York. They use only organic agricultural methods and promote sustainable stewardship of the land. They are open to the public year round and have many exciting events. You can even drop off your own compost there! To find out more about the farm, and to get involved, listen to my show.
