Hi All,
I just finished my interview with Chad Marvin, who was a past intern with iEat Green, and an Agroforestry Volunteer with the Peace Corps in Guinea. He is currently a Master’s candidate in Sustainable International Development at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management. Chad’s current research is around the intersection of climate change with women and youth in Guinea. His research is informed by his role as Program Associate for AquaFarms Africa, a social impact enterprise that trains women and youth in the capital city of Guinea, Conakry to run their own aquaponic farms.
Chad is originally from Long Island, New York, and received his bachelors in Environmental Humanities from Stony Brook University. Chad’s passion is finding the links between social and environmental issues and creating long lasting solutions that acknowledge the root causes of these problems in order to create a more equitable and sustainable world.
Chad continues to visit and help with the gardens at iEat Green when he is in the country, and shares his knowledge and passion with anyone who wants to learn.
If you missed our interview, you can listen to it below, and if you want to reach Chad while he is still in the country, you can email him at Chad.e.marvin@gmail.com
