iEat Green Shares Interview with Chef Sara Boan and Chef Linda Linda Soper-Kolton from the Catskill Farm Sanctuary

Hi Everyone,

This morning, I had a great interview with the Compassionate Chefs from the Catskill Farm Sanctuary, Sara Boan and  Linda Soper-Kolton. They have been running the Compassionate Cuisine Program at the Homestead Kitchen, adjacent to the Sanctuary, both teaching and educating about plant based cooking and animal welfare needs. Sara has been at the Sanctuary since 2016, and Linda since 2012.  Their cooking classes often sell out, but if you can get a chance to visit the Sanctuary and take one of their classes, you won’t be sorry. They also have a newsletter you can sign up for, a mentor program, private tours for your group, and free cooking demos that they give at the Sanctuary during their weekend tours. During the summer, they have a wonderful children’s camp that will introduce the children to all of the animals that live there, and teach them about a vegan lifestyle and vegan food.

Coming up this Tuesday, June 13th, the Catskill Farm Sanctuary will be visiting NYC with their Cocktails and Cow Tails Fundraiser! Join Sara and Linda, as well as the other folks from the Catskill Farm Sanctuary for a beautiful evening to benefit the rescued farmed animals who reside at the Sanctuary. Enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and delightful stories about Sanctuary residents like Violet, Bartleby, Lola, Tucker, and more. For more information, and to purchase tickets, click here!

If you  missed our interview, do not fret! You can listen to it below! And hopefully you will get a chance to visit the Catskill Animal Sanctuary this summer!
