In the News: Attention All Small Farmers! Thank you Farmworkers for Your Service!

Covid19 has turned our world upside down, but our small family farmers are continuing to work hard to provide us with food. Thank you Farmers!! I know it is not much, but American Farmland Trust is offering grants of up to $1,000 to small/mid-sized farms impacted by the pandemic through a new Farmer Relief Fund.  I’m told that the application process is very simple, so it’s worth applying. Also, the Paycheck Protection Loan Program, which was authorized in the CARES Act, can help farms that meet SBA small business threshold. These loans are low interest, forgivable loans, but are distributed on a first come first served basis, until funding is gone. If this program seems like it would be of assistance to you, don’t delay. Contact your bank as soon as possible to see if they are participating in this program.

Good luck!

Farmworkers are Essential, everyday, not just during the Covid19 Pandemic!

Thank you Farmworkers for your Service!
