Scientists Found Eating Organic Food for One Week can Reduce Levels of Pesticides

This is amazing! A University of California study found that eating organically-grown food, even for just one week, can significantly reduce the levels of pesticides within the body. And not by just a little! The researchers found the levels of toxins decreased by an average of 60.5 percent!

Exposure to pesticides has been linked to many adverse health outcomes including autism, asthma, infertility, hormone imbalances, autoimmune disorders, and impaired cognitive development.

“This study shows that organic works,” said study co-author Kendra Klein, Ph.D., senior scientist at Friends of the Earth, an international environmental organization. “We have the right to food that is free of toxic pesticides. Farmers and farm workers growing our nation’s food and rural communities have a right not to be exposed to chemicals linked to cancer, autism, and infertility.” Friends of the Earth is hoping to see more legislative measures to reduce the use of harmful pesticides in agriculture.

If we are told something is too good to be true, usually it is! That’s the case with the Impossible Burger!

The marketing behind the Impossible Burger has been stellar. Better for the environment, better for your health, and tastes just like a regular beef burger. It even bleeds like a real burger! Well now the research is in, and it is not all that it was made out to be. The levels of glyphosate detected in the Impossible Burger by Health Research Institute Laboratories were 11 X higher than the Beyond Meat Burger. Glyphosate, Monsanto’s Roundup, has been linked to cancer, and other health issues, and is highly present in the Impossible Burger.

As always, you need to follow the money!
