The Whole Kids Foundation Garden Grant program helps schools and non-profit organizations turn outdoor spaces into powerful hands-on learning gardens that connect kids with food, spark their curiosity and support classroom curriculum.
Their Garden Grant program provides a $3,000 monetary grant to support a new or existing edible educational garden located at either a K–12 School or a non-profit organization that serves children in the K-12 grade range.

Is your Organic Cotton Shirt Really Organic?
The NY Times article on Monday was an eye opening exposé into the fraudulent organic cotton market in India. According to documents, more organic cotton was exported than was actually grown, which we know is impossible. The way the certification process is set up, there are many opportunities for people to be paid off, and since organic cotton sells for three times the price of regular cotton, there is great incentive to be dishonest.
