The chef, restaurateur, and humanitarian, José Andrés, will be coming to the rescue again, not to cook for people surviving a natural emergency disaster, but to cook for US federal workers suffering under President Trump’s self made emergency, in his partial closing of the government. Furloughed federal workers in Washington are expected to continue working, without pay, while President Trump demands money for his wall. The non-profit organization, World Central Kitchen, will open the #ChefsforFeds kitchen to feed federal workers and their families, only steps away from the White House, everyday from 11am-6pm. Andrés hopes that the relief kitchen will symbolically act as a catalyst to help end the government shutdown.
