Stop President Trump from Undoing Years of Environmental Policies!

In recent months, President Trump and his allies at the EPA, have been trying to dismantle all of the environmental regulations that were put in place to help our planet. His newest scheme is something the Natural Resources Defense Council is calling the “Dirty Power Plan”. This plan would replace the landmark Clean Power Plan, put in place under the Obama administration. 

The Clean Power Plan was put in place to help us reduce carbon pollution from coal-fired power plants. It was meant to move us forward towards a cleaner energy model, and a cleaner future for out planet. President Trump’s rollback of this policy is is nothing more than a giveaway to fossil fuel companies and utilities that leaves the rest of us to pay the price with extreme weather, poisoned air and water, and a polluted planet.

The EPA is accepting public comments on Trump’s new plan. Tell the EPA that you stand united with thousands of Americans who support the Clean Power Plan and will fight back against any attempts to dismantle it — in defense of our clean air and water, our climate, and our clean energy future.

Tell Big Companies to Stop Buying Palm Oil From Deforesters!

Every 25 seconds, a rain forest the size of a soccer field, in Indonesia is deforested. The deforestation of Indonesia is out of site, out of mind, for many American’s, but those rain forests are a huge source of oxygen for our planet. The deforestation is not the only problem. This deforestation is due to big companies like Wilmar, who are cutting down the palm trees to create palm oil, something that is used in many mainstream products in the U.S., everything from Kit Kat’s to Head and Shoulders Shampoo. We need to boycott palm oil, and the products that use it, and take a stand once and for all to stop deforestation!!!

Urge your Representatives to Pass the Farm Bill on Time! 

The Farm Bill is about to expire on September 30th. With six days to go, we need everyone to urge their representatives to take action and come to a consensus on the bill. Here is a list of the conferee members, and you can find a directory for the congress member here.

At this point, we need them to come to a resolution so that programs don’t lapse. Supporting the Senate Farm Bill is best way to ensure that SNAP Benefits Program is kept in place for needy families across the country.
