Help Community Solidarity share Back-2-School supplies with thousands of LI families next week!
| It’s Back-2-School season and there are families across Long Island struggling to get their kids the school supplies they need. Starting next week and going through the whole month of September, Community Solidarity will be distributing free school supplies to students in need at all of their Food Share locations.

Help Organic Farmers Save the Planet: Support the Climate Stewardship Act!
U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) recently released draft legislation that will promote carbon-sequestering practices in agriculture. The draft Climate Stewardship Act includes farmers as a critical component in the response to the climate crisis by encouraging “carbon farming” through incentives, training, and research. U.S. Representative Deb Haaland (D-NM) is championing companion legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives. The bill will likely be introduced in September when Congress reconvenes.
