This is getting ridiculous!

NYS has passed the CLCPA (Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act) so that New York State can lead the way in addressing Climate Change and committing our future to renewable energy systems. That is supposed to mean we will no longer invest in the infrastructure that supports the continuation of consuming mass amounts of oil and gas. Governor Cuomo put a temporary stop to the Williams Pipeline back in May, but the Williams Corporation won’t give up!  To make matters worse, we have 7 Long Island Democratic Senators who are pushing for the approval of the Pipeline! They are crazy! Don’t they understand the negative impacts that the Williams Pipeline poses for New Yorkers? Not only could it devastate our water quality and marine life, it would hurt our economy, add to climate change, and in the event of a leakage, pose health risks beyond our imagination. We need to stop this pipeline and we need to keep the pressure on Governor Cuomo.

Don’t Let the EPA Rollback Methane Regulation!

The Environmental Protection Agency, the governmental agency responsible for protecting the environment, wants to eliminate crucial limits on how much methane — a powerful greenhouse gas — the oil & gas industry is allowed to release into our air.

We need to let them know how we feel about that!

Methane, the main component of natural gas, is responsible for a quarter of the global warming we’re experiencing today. The previous administration created a rule to reduce the amount of methane released into the atmosphere. But the EPA wants to remove these protections, put us at risk, and give industry a free pass to pollute.
