It almost seems ridiculous that The U.S. House of Representatives formed another committee to “investigate, study, make findings, and develop recommendations on policies, strategies, and innovations to achieve substantial and permanent reductions in pollution and other activities that contribute to the climate crisis,” since we have already done that and we know  what we need to do. The problem is not that we don’t know what to do, the problem is our current government will not do what it needs to do!! The Select Committee went on to say ” We need to honor our responsibility to be good stewards of the planet for future generations,” but how can we do that if our President keeps undermining any attempt to address climate change?I know it seems futile, but we need to stay hopeful and keep pushing. The House Select Committee is a start!
Meanwhile, President Trump has officially signed us out of the Paris Climate Agreement! He is such an idiot!! We need to let the world know that we do not agree with him! Hopefully we will have a new President that can reverse this travesty, but in the meantime, we need to keep fighting for a clean future!
