The fossil fuel industry has more influence in our political system than people like you! And the GOP is working overtime to make sure your voice matters less and less.
Firefighters are being pushed to their limits battling wildfire after wildfire. People and families are being displaced from their homes with nothing but the clothes on their backs from extreme weather events. OUR EARTH IS IN CRISIS. The majority of Americans support strong climate action — but Big Oil’s influence in politics is corrupting everyday Americans’ right to vote. Ban Fossil Fuels in the State Budget!
In her State of the State address last week, Governor Hochul announced plans for a ban on fracked gas and other fossil 
fuels in new buildings, beginning in 2027. While I applaud the plan, why wait five years? We need strong legislation now in order to reign in global warming and meet our commitment to the climate crisis!
Senator Kavanagh and Assembly Member Gallagher have introduced legislation that would ban fossil fuels in new construction starting at the end of next year. We need these bills to pass. Please let your Congress person or Representative know how you feel!
